Masterson’s Pub , nestled in the bustling area of Moonee Ponds , advertises itself as a stylish, alternative venue , but my latest trip at this establishment turned into one of the worst experiences of my life . While the bar may present a friendly façade, what I discovered behind its entrance was disgraceful and unfit for any venue.

Cleanliness Issues : Grimy and Abandoned
From the moment I walked in , it was clear that upkeep was not a priority at this bar . The floors were sticky , and a foul smell of stale beer and dirty bathrooms polluted the entire establishment . Reeking of a mixture of excrement , a rotting odor and illness . The counter , which should be the primary feature of any pub, was overflowing with soiled cups and debris that looked like it hadn’t been touched in ages . The toilet was in even a truly awful state— clogged , with a shattered handle and surfaces marked in what I can only assume was human excrement .

Going through other patrons’ reviews and speaking with locals , it seems that the quality of upkeep (or lack thereof) check out this info at this bar is a long-standing issue . Many patrons have reported spotting critters darting across the drink station and proof of vermin in the adjoining rooms. For a business that offers beverages , these issues are utterly disgraceful and raise serious concerns about the safety of anything they serve .
